OUTRIGHT WINNER: MARK DONOVAN [7] 37 PTS
Macquarie links was the venue for today’s event, and the course was in great condition. The fairways were lush, and the greens were quick. Some bunkers were affected by the previous night’s storm and were GUR.
!6 players had qualified for this year’s matchplay championship, and the rest were to play in the single stableford event.
The outright winner today was Mr consistent, Mark Donovan with a very impressive 37 points off a hcp of 7.
A grade winner was Santo Sammarco [8] with 35 points. Looks like he is over his covid and on the prowl again.
B Grade winner was Mark [Mumbles] McSwiney with 33 points off 16 hcp. After a few months in the doldrums, he is finally finding some form.
C Grade was won by Life Member Rossco Hamer who played off 22 for a score of 32 points. Had he played from in front of the
Ladies tees as he had wanted in the morning, he might have scored 60 points.
The all important Guzzler s Cup was won by Johnny Soo playing off 6 for 32 points. Luckily for everyone, Johnny only drinks tea.
