23-5-2021: 2BBB+2BBB CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP-THE RIDGE GC

2021 2BBB CHAMPIONS: J.KRISHNA & P.COLLINS [98 POINTS]

Gentlemen,

Another great day for golf was had by everyone with no rain and a moderate temperature of 21 degrees C.

I’m  sure there are many a tale to be told, some feats of brilliance and others of woe.

Irrespective of that we were able to complete the 2BBB Championship.

The handicaps on the cards were from the previous round and the Captain advised all groups the change to their handicaps to avoid confusion at the end of the round, this didn’t happen in all cases.

Unfortunately, the results announced at the course were incorrect and the daily handicap for some players has been corrected and cards stringently scrutinised and adjustments applied.

So, the final team scores and some individual scores have been corrected.

Please note the Championship handicap remains the same for both rounds.

The results will vary is some case from the Daily result and the Championship Result.

Apologises to the players affected by changes in the results.

The official results for today’s event are as follows.

2BBB RUNNERS UP: J.VARRICA & J.McDONALD 91 points

OUTRIGHT WINNERS: WAYNE COLEMAN & KEN TYNE 50 PTS

RUNNERS UP: MICHAEL KABALAN & SANTO SAMMARCO 49 PTS

BRADMANS: JOY MESURIA & GEORGE LATTOUF 36 PTS

Congratulations to Ken & Wayne a great performance and all other winners.

A special mention for John Varrica having a great individual score of 43 points, well done John.

The CCR for todays event was 37 and those who played well the handicapper has caught up with you.

Those played poorly today can look forward to the 4BBB Match Play 1st Round to redeem themselves.

The 2BBB Championship Final Results and seedings for the 4BBB Matchplay Championship shown below.

Congratulations to Pat Collins & Jay Krishna for taking out the 2021 2BBB Club Championship with an aggregate score of 98 points.
The surprise runners up were the underrated pairing of President John Varrica & Vice President John McDonald on 91 points.

Players who haven’t got a partner for the 4BBB Matchplay can seek a new partner but will be unseeded.

We understand not everyone can play all M/P games and if this is the case the partner can contest the event individually, if they win and their partner is available at the next round they resume as a team.

So any players who are changing partners please let the Handicapper or Captain know.

Finally signing off after 3 hours of scrutinising of today’s results.

The Handicapper & Scribe
