In Memory of Hugh (Known as Bill) Thomas Thompson.

The Revesby Workers Mens Golf Club has been saddened by the news that  Hugh Thomas (known as Bill) THOMPSON, passed away on September 22, 2013, aged 79 years. Bill was one of the stalwarts of the Golf Club and the third member to receive life membership. He joined the club in the mid-1960s and became the golf club’s first captain in 1966. Bill also had the distinction of winning club championships in four decades: the 1960s, ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. In June this year (2013), the members of Revesby Mens Golf were pleasantly surprised to catch up with Bill when he made an appearance at the annual Bowlers V Golfers challenge held at Revesby Sports & Recreation Club. Bill was not in the best of health but said that he wouldn’t have missed the event for anything.

Bill Thompson was much loved husband of Pat (dec). Loved father and father-in-law of Alan and Lyn, David and Karen, Scott and Kelly, Natalie and Guy. Proud and devoted Grandpa of Nathan, Jarryd, Ashleigh, Courtney, Jack, Jordan, Georgia, Max, Lexi and Great Grandpa of Asteria.

The members of Revesby Workers Mens Golf Club would like to express their deepest condolences to Bill’s family and friends at this time of your sad loss and please know that our thoughts are with you all. Bill was a very respected member and legend of our club who contributed to it’s success in many ways and will be sorely missed by all.
