2025 MATCHPLAY CHAMPION – PAT COLLINS
The forecast all week for this round was for torrential rain and strong wind due to the effects of tropical cyclone Alfred that was to touch down on the Qld & NSW coast. As it turned out, Alfred turned out to be a bit of a fizzer and the weather was very accommodating for golf.
The course was ok considering but the greens were a little slow and bumpy. Preferred lies through the green and bunkers out of play were the rules of the day.
The outright winner today on a countback was Manny Petris [8] for 40 points.
A grade winner was Santo Sammarco [8] 39points also on a countback.
B grade winner was Jay Krishna [17] with 40 pts.
C grade winner was Peter Davis [ 21] 37 points c/b
The Guzzler today was Terry Venardos [12] 39 c/b

C – Jason Christie 30pts
The 2025 Single matchplay Championship final was also played today and it was between Mark McSwiney and Pat Collins. The match went down to the wire with Pat defeating Mark in a playoff for the title. Congratulations Pat.
