24 players made there way down to the ever-popular Links Shell Cove GC for the final round of the championships today. The format was stroke play and the course played very short from the chains tees, but showed it’s teeth when on the greens trying to sink a putt. The wind also came up mid round to make it even more challenging.
The outright winner today with a score that even surprised him was Craig Franklin with an incredible score of 61 nett off a handicap of 18. Well done Craig and your reward will be to join the A grade rank.
A grade winner was mister consistent, Joy Mesuria who didn’t deviate from the middle of the fairway all day, and his short game wasn’t too bad either. Joy’s score was 67 nett off a hcp of 13.
B Grade was won by Mr Dry, Mick McCarney who was business like and played to his handicap to post a score of 71 nett of 18 hcp.
C grade was one by another podium regular and that was Bob Mallia who played off 22 hcp for a score of 72 nett.
The guzzler today was Troy Young with a fine score of 68 nett off a hcp of 17. Should go close to winning the B grade championship after that round.
The Bradmans today were ……………..
A-Steve Floyd 89 nett ( and a headache)
B-Dean Heffernan 86 nett
C-Pete Davis 85 nett.
Thank you to our captain and helpers this morning for all there amazing organising.
The Championship results will be posted later in the week when all of the sores have been scrutinised.
