The tour has now concluded and from the feedback that I have received from most of those attending, it was another successful trip away.
This year we had 35 people attending with 6 of those being visitors. Everyone behaved impeccably and some even played great golf.
The event got off to a rough start with an electrical storm hitting The Vintage GC during the first round, where only the first group managed to finish before the storm hit. As a result, the round was reduced to a 9 hole comp and did not count towards the championship.
Apart from that we were blessed with good weather for the next 2 days at Cypress Lakes, albeit it a little cold. Both courses were amazing and a little difficult for some.
Once again, the service provided to us at Cypress Lakes Resort was terrific, and especially from Tamara and her bar staff.
A big thanks to the organising committee especially Steve Vaughn, Mark McDonald & Joy Mesuria who spent hours scrutinising and recording all the results.
Lastly, I’d like to congratulate all there for their great camaraderie and company and a huge congratulations to all the prize winners and a huge cheer for the new Hunter Valley Tour Champion, Pat Collins. Pat was the most consistent player over the weekend and deserved his victory.
All the results are pictured below along with some bonus photos.
Thanks, and looking forward to organising the next one in 2024.
