2026 INTERNATIONAL CUP CHAMPIONS – TEAM AUSTRALIA
The International Cup is one of the most anticipated events on our calendar. It pits members of Australian origin against those of International origin. The format is matchplay, and this year we had 15 matches to decide the champions for 2026.
Preparations for this match were a little complicated due to the huge numbers wanting to play, managing matches by handicap and managing carts. The groups were sorted earlier in the week and the course rules for the day were preferred lies through the green and from the yellow tees.
Play was completed by 11.30am, an the members and guests were treated to a free BBQ and open bar put on by the social committee. A big thanks to Rossco, Pete M, Pete D, Mick M, Steve F and Bob M, for preparing a great feed for us all.
Joy Mesuria and Mark McSwiney tabulated the results and the presentation was commenced.
Joy announced that for the first time in 4 years, the victorious team was TEAM AUSTRALIA. The Aussies comprehensibly thrashed the Internationals 10.5 pts to 4.5pts. Congratulations to the Aussies on a well deserved victory.
The stableford competition was held in conjunction with the cup, and the results are as follows.

A Grade – Jim Gardner [11] 39pts c/b
B Grade – Steve Floyd [15] 38pts
C Grade – Brad Kennedy [29] 42pts
Guzzlers Cup – Steven Tait [20] 39pts
Best Visitor – Jorge Veronique 85 gross
